Cathi is a trained teacher and has an unshakeable belief in the power of the arts to inspire, motivate and transform individuals.
She says ‘I totally believe that the arts can change lives. The arts can nurture talent. I believe in the restorative power of the arts as drama allowed me to be.’
Nova says ‘Cathi is a great communicator, driven, self-aware, focussed, funny, incredibly supportive and inspirational. As a colleague, she asks questions and pushes for the right meaning.’
Cathi and Nova - two women with extensive experience in the worlds of education, business and the arts. We met while working on the Creative Partnerships programme where we discovered a shared belief that creativity transforms lives, and were drawn to each other through common experience, and a fervent belief in the power of creative learning. Both are Arts Award Advisers as well as Artsmark Assessors (and hold enhanced CRBs and Public Liability Insurance.)
Nova is a visual artist. She believes that if you want to inspire and nurture young people you need to lead by example.
She says 'Art and the process of creativity is amazing! I am driven and determined to show you how transformative it can be.'
Cathi says ‘Nova is so organised; she knows exactly what is needed and where everything is. She is kind, funny and has a great presence. She is straight-talking, kind, exceptionally perceptive and sensitive. A good listener, hard-working and motivated.’
