My two passions include painting and gardens. As a painter I continue my practice and exhibit regularly in the UK and abroad. I also have many years teaching experience and combine painting with community arts projects with schools and groups. My interest in gardens extends to environmental community projects with making outdoor installations, combined with planting.  Involvement in past projects, include RHS Hampton Court Flower Show, Blenheim Palace Flower Show, Gravesham in Bloom and creating educational school gardens.

I returned to study later in life and graduated from a part time Fine Art BA HONs in 2015 at UCA Canterbury.

Since 2011 I have worked as one of the team of Navigators at Turner Contemporary, responsible for developing and running family workshops and school creative sessions. I am part of the Studio Group at Turner Contemporary, a group who worked alongside Maria Nepomuceno to produce her work Breathing Time displayed in the Sunley Gallery at Turner Contemporary in 2012 and who are currently working on another commission for the same space.

I am also part of the Gallery Assistant team and an Exhibition and Technical Assistant where I worked as part of a team of technicians who painted the murals on the walls of the Gallery alongside the artists for Jeremy Deller’s show English Magic in 2014. I am also one of the Programme Co-ordinators for the Ageless Thanet project, a project aimed at improving the wellbeing of participants who are aged over 50.

Steven’s background is within fashions pecialising in Menswear. He has designed for Marks & Spencer, Next, British Home Stores, Nigel Hall and MK1. Working with aim4, Steven uses his experience in assisting students to design and de-construct garments, work on graphic prints, and collage creative art pieces.

As the founder of his own spiritually-based consultation and mentoring business, Steven now works with personal clients all over the world. He is a writer, mentor, and has created two full decks of art cards.
